In line with Pinta’s commitment as an international platform to energize and disseminate Ibero American modern and contemporary art, and with a stronger-than-ever bond to its Latin American roots, this year’s edition brings forth an artistic program which includes diverse and interdisciplinary expositions and carefully articulated sections. Artists, curators, gallery owners, collectors and art lovers will reunite for the best of what Latin American and Spanish creators have been working on passionately and relentlessly in the face of a global crisis and its aftermath. In a blend format which combines premier technology with the glamor of gathering in-person, Pinta 2022 will provide an experience unlike no other. The wide and state-of-the-art accesses connect water and land, the natural and the built, thus generating a unique environment for art. Including meeting, lounge and enjoyment spaces, the experience at The Hangar is complete. The layout is completely flexible, with an open floor plan and abundant natural lighting. Today, the space retains its functionality and combines elements of nature. Located in a privileged place and with a strong historical character, The Hangar used to be the base of Pan American. In search of new territories and exhibition formats, Pinta Miami inuagurates The Hangar in Coconut Grove. New formats, and many other exciting ingredients will make up Pinta 2022. The fair will be held at Esquina de Abuela, a community center in the neighborhood of Allapattah, and will showcase both local and international artists.įridge Art Fair runs from November 29 through December 3, 2022.This year, in its 16th anniversary and after highly transformative events, Pinta ventures into a new concept. Fridge welcomes everyone to come inside and “chill,” (rather than Frieze). As a non-profit organization that values inclusivity and originality, it takes pride in showcasing artists who shy away from the mainstream. Fridge has a distinct quirkiness, evident throughout its collection and website. The 2022 contemporary art fair, titled "Art Camp," offers a break from the chaos at bigger shows. In the upcoming weeks, an array of concurrent events prepare to share the beachside city. Late November and into early December, the annual celebration of arts and culture begins, welcoming diverse individuals from all over the world as they gather throughout the “Magic City.” Though it is the main attraction, Art Basel is not the only fair in town. Opportunities to experience the best the international art community has to offer extend far beyond that, or even Design Miami at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Miami is one of the country's most desirable travel destinations year round, but Miami Art Week is one of the city's busiest–besides spring break perhaps.
